Where did you grow up? WA State – on a farm
What is your favorite food? ice cream…not really a food! lettuce wraps
What is your least favorite food? fish
What is something unique or surprising about you? I weighed 2 1/2 lbs at birth, yet my twins were 7lbs EACH!
What is your favorite subject to teach? writing
Who was your favorite teacher and why? Mrs Kerwin (3rd grade) she had bonus bucks we could earn, we got to write our favorite recipe and put it in a class cookbook! I learned all my multiplication tables that year!
Why did you choose to be a teacher? I feel comfortable around kids. I like to figure out how they learn best. I am a nurturer by nature!
What would you like your students to remember this year? That they ARE smart & they can be successful and see learning as fun and exciting!
