I love French fries!

What is your least favorite food?

Fish

What is something unique or surprising about you?

I’m a weekend rock climber, I climb in gyms and outside. I love trying new and challenging routes!

I also love reading classic literature and my favorite book is Jane Eyre.

I almost studied Anthropology before I chose teaching for my career.

What is your favorite subject to teach?

Literacy! I love teaching children to read!

Who was your favorite teacher and why?

I had several teachers in school who I loved but the teacher that made the most impact in my life was my mom. She brought literature, science, and history into our home in creative ways. Every summer she taught us through books, trips to places we were learning about, and creative activities. She made learning so fun and taught me the impact of teaching and the power of learning.

Why did you choose to be a teacher?

I love working with children and my love for knowledge made this career a perfect combination of the two.
