Hello Westridge Parents! 

Thank you for your support at the PTO’s Family Skate Night last week!  We had a great turnout!  We’re grateful for the PTO’s efforts to create a fun event for our Wildcat families.  See the PTO section below if you’re interested in helping plan the next Wildcat Family/Community Activity. 

It is really important that your child attends school every day to learn the academic content for their grade level.  Students who miss a lot of school or have multiple tardies can easily fall behind and feel overwhelmed when they return to school.  We miss your children when they aren’t in school and want to see them in school every day.

 If your child needs to miss school at any time, please get in touch with the office to excuse the absence.  You can call us at 801-374-4870 or email us at westridgeattendance@provo.edu.  All absences must be excused to avoid district attendance intervention.  Intervention begins after the first five unexcused absences.  District intervention can include attendance letters, Family Advocate/Social Worker home visits, school attendance resolution conferences, district mediation, and referral to DCFS or the County Attorney’s Office.  You can avoid these district interventions by contacting us each time your child is absent.  Please see the attachments below for more attendance information.
