Instructions: Updating Powerschool Information

Log Into The Parent Portal

1. Open a browser.
2. Go to Provo Parent Portal (grades.provo.edu).
3. Enter your login and password.
4. If you forgot your login name, use the Forgot Username or Password link. PowerSchool will send you an email to reset your credentials.
5. If you have further problems, please contact your school’s registrar for assistance.
6. Once logged in, complete the Update Demographics steps in the section below.

Update Demographics

1. Click the top icon in the left menu labeled: Student Registration / Yearly Update.
2. The registration screen will load.
3. In the Available Forms column, click Registration.
   • If you have already completed registration for this year, the Available Forms section will be blank, and Registration will appear in the Completed Forms section.
   • If there is a date next to the Registration link, this is the last time you updated your registration this year.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to edit or update demographic, emergency, and other requested information.
5. On the final page, enter your name and check the box to confirm.
6. Complete these steps for all your students.
7. Log off when you are done.
