Westridge Elementary School

Megan Clark, our school’s facilitator, received the Provo Way Award this past week! We are grateful for Megan and all that she does for our school. Here is the highlight on her from the District.

“This week, we celebrate someone nominated not once but twice in the same month. It’s easy to see why she’s received multiple nominations: she exceeds expectations, she is available after the bell on a multitude of tasks, and she cares about her students and staff in a way that makes you want to be better.

We proudly celebrate and congratulate Westridge Elementary School’s Facilitator, Megan Clark, with the Provo Way Award.

Her two nominations came from 1st-grade teachers Jennifer Frame and Sarah Rawle. Below is Sarah Rawle’s nomination. She gives example after example of Megan’s unwavering aim in supporting Westridge.

“Megan is incredible. She pours her heart and soul into helping students and teachers. Megan goes above and beyond overseeing interventions in our school. If we don’t have the resources we need, she spends hours preparing them. Many nights she’s stayed late at school preparing our differentiated learning.

“As a team, we asked for help applying a new intervention we were unfamiliar with. Megan studied the program overnight and had a stack of needed materials ready for us the next day.

“We quickly learned that if you ask Meagan for help, she’ll exceed your expectations. She’s even taught intervention classes when teachers cannot meet with their groups.

“She has a relationship with all of our students in our school, particularly those facing emotional or behavioral challenges. She’s gained our love and respect through her gentleness and high expectations. The teachers can rely on her help and expertise in the most challenging situations.

Megan has worked so hard this year as our new Facilitator, and our faculty can’t stop talking about what an incredible job she’s done.”

Thank you, Megan, and congratulations on your award.”
