Congratulations to our fifth grade teacher, Mariel Boone, for receiving the Teacher of the Year award! Here are some of the kind words that some of the people who voted for her said:

She always puts her students’ needs above anything else. It is so fun to watch her play with the other students at recess. Mariel is also an incredible teammate. She will go out of her way to help when somebody is absent or unable to do their job. She takes her job very seriously and you can tell that she really cares about the students she works with. She is kind to all staff, even people who are not in her same grade level. Mariel does an incredible job bringing learning to life for her students! She is always kind and supportive to all students and fellow staff members. She has such a love for and devotes her whole self to her students! She makes learning fun and meaningful. She is great with MLs, ASLs, SPED, etc. She will help any staff member –no matter what!
