Weekly Wildcat: Week of 9/4

Hello Westridge Parents! 

Just a reminder, there is NO School tomorrow!  Enjoy your long weekend!

With the increased traffic from the new Pickle Ball and Tennis Courts, we ask that you be extremely careful and follow the guidelines below as you drop off/pick up your children.  See the attached map that was sent out with the beginning of the year documents.

Drive slowly, be aware of your surroundings, and watch for children and adults. Please do not enter the employee parking lots on the west and east sides of the building to drop off/pick up your children.  We place traffic cones and have adults in these areas as a reminder to not enter these areas so we can protect the children.  You may park in the visitor parking lot at the front of the building (south side).  We have three lanes in front of the building to keep the flow of traffic moving. The far-right lane is for drop off/pick up only. The middle and left lanes are for pull-through only.  Please do not park or drop off/pick up in these lanes.  Cars in the pull-through lanes need to be moving at all times. Children can be dropped off/picked up along the sidewalk on the right-hand side. The children need to exit on the right side of the car.  If, for some reason, a child needs to exit on the left side of the car, we ask that the driver get out of the car, open the door, and walk the child to the sidewalk. You may want to consider using the church parking lot to drop off/pick up your children.  Some parents find this to be a better alternative than using the front of the building. We appreciate your help with keeping all of our students safe. The safety of your children is one of our top priorities!

It is time to elect the School Community Council members for the 2023-2024 school year.  We are in need of parents/guardians that are willing to serve.  The Community Council meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of every month from 7:00-8:00am.

We currently have three 2-year openings and one 1-year opening for parent positions.  Candidate forms are due September 15, 2023 and elections will be held on September 18-20, 2023.  We invite all parents/guardians to vote for a representative for the Community Council on the above three days.  See the attached documents for more information.

¡Hola Padres de Westridge!

¡Sólo un recordatorio, mañana NO hay clase! Disfruten de su fin de semana largo.

Con el aumento de ráfico de la nueva Pickle Ball y pistas de enis, le pedimos que sea extremadamente cuidadoso y siga las siguientes directrices al dejar / recoger a sus hijos. Vea el mapa adjunto que se envió con los documentos de principio de año.

Conduzca despacio, sea consciente de lo que le rodea y enga cuidado con los niños y adultos. Por favor, no entre en los aparcamientos de empleados en los lados oeste y este del edificio para dejar/recoger a sus hijos. Colocamos conos de ráfico y enemos adultos en estas áreas como un recordatorio de no entrar en estas áreas para que podamos proteger a los niños. Usted puede estacionar en el estacionamiento de visitantes al frente del edificio (lado sur). Tenemos res carriles delante del edificio para mantener el flujo de ráfico en movimiento. El carril de la derecha es sólo para dejar/recoger a los niños. Los carriles del medio y de la izquierda son sólo para aparcar. Por favor, no aparque en estos carriles. Los coches que circulen por los carriles de estacionamiento deben estar en movimiento en odo momento. Se puede dejar/recoger a los niños en la acera de la derecha. Los niños deben salir por el lado derecho del coche. Si, por alguna razón, un niño necesita salir por el lado izquierdo del coche, pedimos que el conductor salga del coche, abra la puerta, y acompañe al niño a la acera. Quizás le interese utilizar el aparcamiento de la iglesia para dejar o recoger a sus hijos. Algunos padres encuentran que esta es una mejor alte ativa que usar el frente del edificio. Apreciamos su ayuda para mantener a odos nuestros estudiantes seguros. La seguridad de sus hijos es una de nuestras prioridades.

Es hora de elegir a los miembros del Consejo de la Comunidad Escolar para el curso 2023-2024. Necesitamos padres/tutores que estén dispuestos a servir. Las reuniones del Consejo Comunitario se llevarán a cabo el segundo martes de cada mes de 7:00-8:00am.

Actualmente enemos res vacantes de 2 años y una vacante de 1 año para puestos de padres. Los formularios de los candidatos vencen el 15 de septiembre de 2023 y las elecciones se llevarán a cabo del 18 al 20 de septiembre de 2023. Invitamos a odos los padres/tutores a votar por un representante para el Consejo Comunitario en los res días mencionados. Consulte los documentos adjuntos para obtener más información.
