Provo Schools to Provide Free Breakfast and Lunch to all Students

Effective immediately, school breakfast and lunch will be available at no charge through School Year 2020/2021 for all Provo City School District students under a nationwide waiver from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). ALL students regardless of whether they are learning at home or in the classroom are eligible for FREE breakfast and lunch through the end of this school year.

Furthermore, this waiver allows ALL children 18 years and under to receive free nutritious meals from schools during this fluid and fast-changing time.

Provo schools will continue to provide breakfast and lunch according to their school’s established meal service plans. Students participating in online and home study option may pre-order meals for pick up at any Provo school closest to their home. Additionally, families may pre-order breakfast and/or lunch for all children in their home ages 18 years and under regardless of their enrollment in school. Meals may be pre-ordered online at provo.edu under school meals or by calling (801) 373-2183 before 9:00 a.m. daily.

The Provo Board of Education, Superintendent Rittel, and the Child Nutrition Program are committed to ensuring that our children have access to safe, healthy, and nutritious meals.

Additional information about the Child Nutrition Program can be found on their website at itsmealsprovo.com, and their Facebook page at ITSMeals at Provo School District.
