Westridge Elementary School

Hello Westridge Parents!

We will continue with End of Level Testing this week.  Please make sure your child is at school and on time each day.

To learn more about our student’s experiences at school, we will ask for your child’s feedback via an online survey that s/he will be administered next week.  The survey shouldn’t take more than 20-30 minutes to complete.  The survey content will ask students to self-reflect on Grit, Growth Mindset, Self-Efficacy, Self-Awareness, and Self-Management, as well as School Safety, School Climate, Teacher-Student Relationships, and Sense of Belonging.  See the attachment for more information.

Have you registered your child for Kindergarten yet?  If not, please register now so we can plan for next year.  Please tell your friends and neighbors!  Register now at grades.provo.edu, choose the “New Student Registration” tab, and complete the form.

Thanks for your continued support!

Go Wildcats!

Connecting Parents to Westridge (information from Westridge’s PTO), We need more parents to join the PTO.  It does not cost money, only your time. Unfortunately, we do not have enough help.  Things will stop happening if we don’t get more volunteers and people coming to the meetings.  We do birthday gifts, Red Ribbon Week, Candy Grams, Carnival, Field Day, Teacher Appreciation, school shirts, the bulletin board in the entry, and so much more!  Our meetings are monthly, and little ones can come with you!  Our next meeting is May 3 at 1:00pm.

Teacher Appreciation Week: Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up.  We are doing different snack options for the teachers/staff every day.  We will also give away five gift cards to teachers in a daily raffle.  On Wednesday, we will be outside the lunch room with different prompts for the students to write a note to their teacher.

Birthdays – Remind your kiddos if they have a birthday this month to check the bulletin board in the east hall for their name.  They can then take that to the office for a special birthday treat.

School Shirts – If you are new to the school and your child has yet to receive a Westridge t-shirt, please get in touch with us via Email with a way they have been respectful, responsible, or safe, and we will make sure they get one.
