Westridge Elementary School

Hello Westridge Parents!

In the next few weeks, your children in 3rd-6th grade will have the opportunity to participate in an online survey that will give us insight into their experience here at school. The survey should not take more than 20-30 minutes to complete. The feedback will provide invaluable insight into your children’s experiences and how we can improve and adapt to their needs. If a child doesn’t feel like they have enough information to answer a question, they will skip the item altogether. The responses to these surveys will be completely confidential.  The survey content will ask students to self-reflect on Grit, Growth Mindset, Self-Efficacy, Self-Awareness, and Self-Management. Please notify your child’s teacher if you would like your child to opt out of taking the survey by returning the attached opt-out form to school by Friday, September 2.

Just a reminder that school lunch is no longer free for all students. You may use the following website to access lunch menus and pay for lunch online https://provo.edu/child-nutrition/. If you think you may qualify for free or reduced meals, go to https://www.myschoolapps.com/ and complete the online application. If your child is bringing a meal from home, please ensure it is easy to open and does not need to be heated.

Thanks for sharing your children with us!

Go Wildcats!

Let’s let the teachers know we are grateful for their hard work and time – and that they matter!  Pick the week and any day that week that works best for you! Hopefully, we can support the teachers each week as they help our children learn and grow! This is a very easy way to help the faculty and staff to know they are appreciated and work with your schedule! You can bring treats M-F. Try to have them there by 10:30 AM, so they are available during the lunch breaks!

Prepare & send a special treat or refreshment to the Westridge faculty who visit the faculty room! Surprise them with something fun to eat or drink. As parents, we’d like to say thank you and boost the morale of our teachers! Sign up alone or with a friend to bring in fruits and veggies (wellness), cupcakes, cookies, appetizer-type food, special drink, etc. Whatever you specialize in! You can make it or buy something! Share your talents and your means.

Feel free to reach out with any questions!

We would appreciate it if you would take 5 mins and fill out our PTO survey.  It will help us to know what is important to you and how we, as a PTO, can best support you and your students this school year.  We will be doing a drawing for some gift cards for those who fill it out.
